In line with the UAE declaration to mark 2018 the “Year of Zayed”, dedicated to the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan’s legacy, the Education Affairs Office of the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi has launched the UAE Media Apprenticeship Programme (UAEMAP). The programme aims to achieve Sheikh Zayed’s vision in empowering talented young Emiratis with global expertise, and helping them to contribute to the progress and development of the UAE.
Through UAEMAP, the Education Affairs Office of the Crown Prince Court is committed to supporting Emirati media and communications graduates in apprenticeship opportunities over a period no shorter than six months and no longer than one year.
Developed on a federal level and encompassing the seven emirates, the apprenticeships are developed in partnership with globally reputable media outlets in the UAE.
The UAEMAP gives participants industry expertise and exposure to different functions at their designated organization, and helps the UAE to build the next generation of homegrown media professionals while raising the profile of the industry and enhancing its contribution towards the goals of UAE Vision 2021.
Provide apprenticeship and training opportunities for young Emiratis in leading international media organisations in the UAE.
Create partnerships with the private sector to build an empowered generation of media entrepreneurs with best-in-class connections and skillsets.
Enable Emirati youth to excel in the global media arena by providing them with experience in diverse sectors of the industry.
Establish a strong and highly efficient Emirati media sector that supports and promotes the UAE’s official policies locally, regionally and internationally.
